Infact recently that's way I could improve performance where the binaries were pre-built and could not be changed (otherwise it wouldn't be supported)<br>There are other places also I have been playing which seems to help PostgreSQL performance on Solaris. Like using getc_unlocked instead of getc in COPY command. Seems to help a lot in CopyGetChar function.<br>Also If you are interested in the profiles output of few dtrace runs that I have done, let me know and I will share that with you.
